In the Lot, the most beautiful river beaches

waves

Other beautiful beaches await you in the Célé valley or in the great Lot valley.

For a swim in a privileged setting, we recommend the beach in the small village of Castelfranc in the vineyards of Cahors the pretty beach under the old bridge at Brengues, on the way to Figeacor the beaches at Marcilhac-sur-Célé, facing the cliffs.

Keep your beach gear in your car for a swimming break after your visits! You’ll find a lovely stretch of pebbles at the foot of the Cabrerets mill, not far from the Pech Merle cave.

If you visit Bertrand Chenu’s Musée de l’Insolite, take the opportunity to discover the magnificent Liauzu beach and its idyllic setting.

River beaches in the Vers valley

waves

With its lush green landscapes and clear waters, the Vers valley is a popular destination for walkers and anglers.

A tributary of the Lot, the river is bordered by the pleasant beach of Saint-Géry-Vers. A welcoming stretch of grass, waterfalls, an old bridge and shallow water where children are safe.

Nearby, you’ll find playgrounds, a boulodrome and a snack bar. If you’d like a little more depth, you can cross the bridge to the banks of the Lot, at the mouth of the Vers river.
